Refund & Cancellation Policy
Please read this policy carefully before making any purchase. By subscribing or making a payment, you agree to these terms.
⚠️ Important: All Payments Are Final After 3 Days
By making a purchase on EchoeBack, you acknowledge and agree that all payments are final after the 3-day grace period. No refunds, credits, or chargebacks will be issued after this window. Initiating a fraudulent chargeback may result in permanent account termination and collection action.
1 3-Day Money-Back Guarantee
All paid subscriptions (Monthly at $15/mo, Quarterly at $39/quarter, and Annual at $120/year) include a 3-day money-back guarantee, subject to the following conditions:
✅ Within 3 Days
Contact us for a refund minus Stripe processing fees (~3%). No questions asked.
❌ After 3 Days
No refunds of any kind. All charges are final. You may cancel to prevent future billing.
⚠️ The 3-day window begins at the moment of your first successful payment, not when you first create your account or begin a free trial.
2 Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable under all circumstances, regardless of when they were purchased:
- Donations ("Buy Us a Coffee" / Supporter Tiers): All donations are voluntary, non-refundable contributions. No goods or services are provided in exchange for donations beyond recognition badges.
- Single Credit Purchases: One-time capsule credit purchases are final once the transaction is completed.
- Consumed Capsule Credits: If you have created, scheduled, or sent any capsules during the billing period, those credits are considered consumed and are non-refundable.
- Partial Billing Periods: No pro-rata refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing cycle after the 3-day window.
- Subscription Renewals: Automatic renewal charges are non-refundable. It is your responsibility to cancel before the renewal date.
3 Processing Fees
All payment processing is handled by Stripe. Stripe charges non-refundable processing fees (~2.9% + $0.30) on every transaction. These fees are deducted from any approved refund amount.
Example: If you paid $15.00 and request a refund within 3 days, you will receive approximately $14.27 after Stripe's processing fee is deducted. EchoeBack does not profit from processing fees.
4 Cancellation vs. Refund
Cancellation and refunds are different actions with different outcomes:
🔄 Cancellation
Stops future billing. Your account remains active with full access until the end of your current billing period. All scheduled capsules will still be delivered.
💸 Refund
Returns your money (minus processing fees). Your account is immediately downgraded to the Free plan. Unused paid features are revoked instantly.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle — no further charges will occur.
5 Chargebacks & Disputes
By making a purchase on EchoeBack, you agree to the following:
- Contact us first. If you have a billing concern, email support@echoeback.com before contacting your bank or card issuer. We resolve most issues within 24 hours.
- Fraudulent chargebacks will be contested. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank after the 3-day window without first contacting us, we will provide evidence of the authorized transaction to your card issuer and contest the dispute.
- Account termination. Accounts associated with fraudulent chargebacks will be permanently suspended, and all data including capsules will be deleted.
- Collection action. EchoeBack LLC reserves the right to pursue collection of any disputed amounts through appropriate legal channels, including but not limited to debt collection agencies, small claims court, or civil litigation.
- Recovery of costs. In the event of a fraudulent chargeback, you agree to reimburse EchoeBack LLC for all costs incurred, including chargeback fees ($15–$25 per dispute), administrative costs, and any legal fees.
🛡️ We keep complete records of all transactions, account activity, IP addresses, and user consent to Terms of Service. This evidence is provided to payment processors and financial institutions in all chargeback disputes.
6 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund within the 3-day window:
- Email support@echoeback.com within 3 calendar days of your purchase.
- Include your account email address and the date of purchase.
- Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.
- You will receive a confirmation email when your refund has been processed.
Refund requests received after the 3-day window will be denied without exception.
7 Service Disruption
In the unlikely event of a significant service disruption caused solely by EchoeBack (not third-party providers), we may, at our sole discretion, offer account credits or service extensions. This does not constitute a right to a refund.
8 Agreement & Acknowledgment
By completing a purchase on EchoeBack, you acknowledge that:
- You have read and understand this Refund & Cancellation Policy in its entirety.
- You agree that all payments are final after the 3-day grace period.
- You agree that donations and single credit purchases are non-refundable.
- You understand that initiating a fraudulent chargeback constitutes a breach of these terms.
- You accept that EchoeBack LLC will contest all unauthorized chargebacks.
9 Governing Law
This Refund & Cancellation Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes arising under this policy shall be resolved exclusively in the federal or state courts located in New Castle County, Delaware.
